Smart Defrag is a free program for defragmenting your hard drive. It works in several modes: manual, scheduled, and automatic (defragmentation occurs in the background when the computer is idle).
When the automatic mode is used, the program works invisibly for the user and system performance. Defragmentation will start when your computer is not actively used or is idle.
You can specify in the settings under what conditions defragmentation should start and stop. For example, if the system is idle for 5 minutes, start and stop when the CPU load reaches 40%.
Among other things, Smart Defrag not only defragments files but also optimizes and arranges them with each other for faster reading.
