Recuva for Windows

Recuva is a small but very effective utility for recovering files that were accidentally or intentionally deleted (lost) on computer hard drives as well as removable media. The program was originally developed for a wide range of users, including those who do not have specific knowledge of data recovery, so it has a convenient intuitive interface with simple settings. In addition, the program includes a step-by-step wizard that will prompt you step-by-step for all the necessary steps to find and restore the data you need.

In the manual (advanced) mode you need to select the disk drive you are interested in, where the data is suspected to be lost, and start scanning. After the analysis, the program will show the list of the deleted files it has managed to find. For each such file, you can immediately get some information: preview (if available), type, location, size, and state (excellent, average, bad, overwritten, lost). Check the box next to the file you were looking for and click "Restore".

Additional features include convenient file sorting (name, path, size, modification date, state, note), changing information display mode (list, thumbnails, tree view), secure (irretrievable) deletion of selected files, etc.
