MPV player is a fork of the popular mplayer2 and MPlayer players with support for a wide range of audio and video formats, video codecs, and subtitle types. Offers hardware acceleration via FFmpeg, with support for VDPAU and VAAPI plus DXVA2 as well as VDA and VideoToolbox video.
The application can play streaming internet radio, and online video, apply various audio and video filters in real-time, adjust quality, frame rate, and frame timing, apply advanced scaling filters, control color, interpolation, etc.
With youtube-dl, Mpv supports HD-video playback on YouTube and more than 300 other streaming services (you should put youtube-dl.exe into the same directory as Mpv to play online video and then drag the URL from the browser to the mpv window). There is command line support, and the ability to control with "hot keys".
