VeraCrypt for Windows

VeraCrypt is an advanced program for creating secure encrypted data storages on your PC, where you can safely store secret and private information. Here you can create a simple encrypted container, encrypt a non-system partition (disk) or encrypt a partition or the whole disk with the system. This way you will prevent uncontrolled access to your confidential files and protect them from leakage or virus attack.

The application is easy to use thanks to its high quality russification and a step-by-step wizard that helps you choose the right parameters at each step of the encrypted partition creation process. First, you will need to determine the media type (container or disk), then choose a type (normal or hidden) and specify the location of the volume or container file. In the next step, select the encryption algorithm you find acceptable (AES, Serpent, Twofish or a combination of these) and the hash algorithm (SHA-512, SHA-256, Whirlpool). After that, all that remains is to set the size of the protected disk (if you create a file).

To prevent unauthorized persons from mounting and connecting to the encrypted disk through VeraCrypt, a password can be set, as well as a key file login. In the final step, specify the type of file system (for files) and proceed to partitioning.

The program can be installed in a portable form, then this utility can be placed on any removable media and run by you without problems on another PC.
