TrueCrypt is a free program designed to reliably protect any information by creating virtual encrypted disks in real time (on the fly).
You can create encrypted disks either inside a file or mount them as an ordinary disk. Encryption of the entire partition or a disk device, e.g. a Flash drive and other removable media, is also worth mentioning.
Supported are various encryption algorithms: AES (256-bit key), Blowfish (448-bit key), CAST5 (128-bit key), Serpent (256-bit key), Triple DES, Twofish (256-bit key), etc., as well as cascading encryption with various ciphers.
